Natalie Jeremijenko

Natalie Jeremijenko, hailed as “wise, witty, and bracingly fierce” by The New York Times, bridges the worlds of art and science; in 2014 she became only the second person (after Laurie Anderson) to be given the VIDA Art and Artificial Life International Awards Pioneer Prize. She directs the Environmental Health Clinic at New York University, is an associate professor in NYU’s Visual Art Department, and has held positions in the Visual Arts faculty at the University of California San Diego, faculty of engineering at Yale University, and the Royal College of Art in London, among other institutions. She has degrees in biochemistry, engineering, neuroscience, and History and Philosophy of Science.
